Sinus lift surgery

The upper back jaw often has too little bone for an implant because the sinus sits just above it. A sinus lift raises the sinus floor and adds bone beneath it.

Who may need one

People who have lost upper back teeth, especially some time ago, and want implants there. Imaging shows how much bone is available.

What to expect

The procedure is done with the area numb. Healing takes several months, after which the new bone can hold an implant.
